It may be set in a world of fairies, but Tinkerbell wouldn’t last
five minutes in this dark Victorian fantasy drama – where
brutal humans and persecuted mythological creatures
struggle to co-exist.
Cara Delevingne plays winged pixie Vignette Stonemoss,
who flees her war-torn homeland to re-kindle a dangerous
romance with detective Rycroft Philostrate
(Orlando Bloom, right).
But a string of gruesome murders
and a terrible secret threaten the
uneasy peace of Carnival Row.

Don’t be put off by the provocative title...
this documentary details the heroic actions
of a German SS major who saved the lives of
around 200 Jews in WWII. During the
Holocaust, death camp commandant Karl
Plagge rebelled against Hitler’s orders by
rescuing Jewish families in occupied Lithuania.
In this show, a survivor returns to the camp,
while scientists attempt to locate Plagge’s
underground tunnels.
