READY, SET, SCOREREADY, SET, SCORE

If you and your guests are up for a friendly competition, before guests arrive, think
through how you want to label each pot of chili. For an anonymous vote, assign every
pot on the table a number. No need to be fancy; markers and index cards will work
just fine. You can borrow our scorecards or create your own and leave them around
the serving table (with writing utensils) for guests to grab as they make their bowls.
After you tally the votes, share the cards with positive notes with the respective
chefsÑand the sky is the limit when it comes to the reward. A simple, classic option
is a quality serving spoon. Or you could always award the winner with ownership of
hosting the next chili cook-off
