GT-2000 7

Men’s: 303 g (10.7 oz.)
Women’s: 246 g (8.7 oz.)
Drop ratio: 10 mm
$170

The GT-2000 7 is a strong option
for overpronators looking for
more comfort in a running shoe.
The GT-2000 7 comes with a
highly breathable upper, plenty
of cushion in the midsole and a
high-traction outsole that will
stand up as the miles build in your
marathon training plan.
The shoe also comes in fancy
new colourways that include
Illusion Blue/Black, Tarmac/
Lemon Spark and White Speed/
Red for men, and Peacoat/Silver,
Bakedpink/Papaya and Mist/White
for women. There’s also a trail
version of the GT-2007 for when
you feel like going offroading.

The Ride shoe line has been a staple of Saucony’s for years,
due in no small part to its versatility as an ideal distance
trainer for long runs, and for those who prefer a little more
cushion on race day. Saucony’s extra layer of Everun
cushioning underneath the foot in the midsole and padded
heel make the ISO 2 a comfortable ride. The Ride ISO 2
comes with Saucony’s proprietary ISOFIT and FORMFIT
technologies that allow the shoe to adapt to different foot
shapes for a more personalized fit.
Other significant updates to the ISO 2 include the
shoe’s lacing system that locks the foot in place without
constricting movement and a stiff heel counter to guide
your foot forward securely. The latter may not be ideal
for runners with heel issues (e.g. those with bone spurs).
The stretchy mesh toe box also provides added comfort
and breathability through the front of the foot.

FALL 2019
Innovation in the running-shoe market took a leap forward
in several directions this year. Advancements in materials,
from the upper to the outsole, see more brands offering
models made for speed that come with a surprisingly
high level of built-in comfort. Meanwhile, shoe companies
traditionally associated with more supportive and durable
models now offer shoes that weigh less than some
performance-based models would just a few years ago.
With that, we’re confident that you’ll find the running
shoe that’s right for you in our 2019 guide, with some
unexpected icing on the cake.
