GROWS

Fall feels like spring with gorgeous
flower-focused products in bloom.

Two years after debuting in the UK with a boutique in London’s upscale
Covent Garden, fragrance brand Floral Street is launching stateside.
Its nine scents come in colorful botanical bottles seemingly tailor-
made for Instagram—and with its biodegradable outer packaging
and $75 price tag, the stage is set for plenty of fanfare. No surprise,
perhaps: Floral Street founder Michelle Feeney has been credited
with making M.A.C, La Mer, Bumble and bumble, and St. Tropez the
coveted brands you know today thanks to her business smarts (she’s
the one who launched La Mer with a waiting list back in 1994). While
the pretty photos printed on the bottles nod to the scents within,
only insiders will know that the juices were created by famous nose
Jérôme Epinette, the same perfumer behind cult-loved fragrances from
Atelier Cologne, Vilhelm Parfumerie, and Byredo. Highlights from the
collection include London Poppy, a bright citrus and jasmine that is
unquestionably happy, and Chypre Sublime, a moody blend of incense,
geranium, and rose that will keep you sniffing your wrist for hours.

Ever notice how a perky bouquet of tulips flops lazily over the edge of
its vase by morning? This is partially because tulip stems continue to
grow after they’ve been cut. To investigate what those life-after-death
superpowers could potentially do for one’s complexion, the creators
of new skin-care brand Bloomeffects partnered with a Dutch tulip farm
(the same one that supplies the British royal family), sending the bulbs
to Universiteit Leiden in Holland. Researchers discovered that the plant’s
hormone auxin, which promotes the growth of the stem, can do the
same for the collagen in your skin—plus its natural humectants lock in
moisture. After two years of formulation, the brand’s four products—a
hydrating balm, scrub mask, cleansing jelly, and lip tint—launch this
month. The quirky jelly- and honey-like textures may remind you of
Korean skin care, but the glow imparted by the Royal Tulip Nectar,
an ointment that melts as you apply it, will make you look like you’ve
bounded gleefully through flower fields in the Dutch countryside.
