%e search is over for those seeking a
safe, natural way to relieve moderate to
severe muscle and joint pain.
%is week, thanks to landmark leg-
islation passed by Congress, which
makes pain-killing hemp legal in all
50 states, all Americans now have
equal, unfettered access to what may
be the strongest, legal pain-killer
available today.
Rx-Quality, Powerful
CBD Labs of Los Angeles has an-
nounced the release of the first phar-
maceutical-quality, cold-pressed,
whole plant extract derived from high-
grade, organic, non-GMO hemp.

Spasms & Nerve Pain
Used daily, full-spectrum hemp
oil can help erase pain and swelling
in joints throughout the body.
“On day three,” writes one user, “I
am quite surprised and hopeful that
what I feel in my legs is real and that
it will last. %e pain, tightness, and
swelling I’ve had for years has just
gone away. Unbelievable!”
Nature’s Best Pain-Killing

“It’s the Cadillac of hemp-based
pain medicine,” says Keith McPher-
son, a consultant to the indus-
try.
A recent review reveals 35 con-
trolled studies involving more than
2,000 subjects, investigating hemp’s
pain-relieving powers.

gland, tendon, even your cartilage.
It runs down the length of the

system, to the tips of your fingers

%ere is a lot of confusion about
what’s best: a CBD oil that contains

in hemp.
“Companies that cherry-pick one or

Joint Pain Su!erers Kick Up Their Heels with

Maximum-Strength Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil

In fact, the cannabinoids found in
full-spectrum, whole plant hemp oil
work so well for pain that scientists
are considering it as a new class of
drugs for chronic pain.
Starts Working in Minutes
Cannabinoids attack pain quick-
ly, relieving swollen, sore joints by
stabilizing distraught nerve cells to
prevent excessive firing, ‘calming’
injured tissues, and dampening the
release of chemicals that cause swell-
ing.
Susan K. injured her wrist play-
ing volleyball at the beach. “It got to
where I couldn’t shi!gears in my car
without pain. In two days a!er using
hemp oil, the pain disappeared. It
hasn’t come back either,” she smiled.
Back Pain Melts Away
Retired school teacher, Barba-
ra M., age 61, began using high-
strength hemp oil for back pain. She
also received a pleasant surprise.
“A!er a couple ofdays,I noticed that
my back pain was melting away. I no
longer had stiffness and pain from sit-
ting too long.”

She also noticed a change in how
she felt. “I became more upbeat and,

World Health Organization and the
American Academy of Family Physi-
cians support access to hemp and its
therapeutic, health-improving ingre-
dients.
Unlike its sister plant, marijuana,
which contains THC, the pesky ingre-
dient that makes you high, the hemp
plant does not contain THC and will
not make users feel high.
Government Hypocrisy?
%e federal government deems
marijuana to be a deadly Schedule
1 drug, on par with heroin, but in
October, 2003, the US government
secretly patented hemp’s therapeutic
ingredients (USPO #6,630,507) for
its anti-epileptic, neuroprotective, in-
tra-ocular eye pressure-lowering ben-
efits, and other aspects.
The hemp revolution began 28
years ago with an accidental dis-
covery.
A Puzzling Mystery
In 1992, Dr. Raphael Mechoulam,
a professor of medicinal chemistry,
stumbled on an unknown protein
molecule in the body.
He knew it was aligand, a unique
chemicalthatfitsinsideaspecificrecep-
tor —like a key in its own lock— but
he had no idea what the molecule did
or where to look for its elusive receptor.
Then, It Dawned on Him
He realized that he had seen this
chemical before. He was sure that it
was a plant chemical; manufactured by
certain plants, especially the cannabis
and hemp plant, which produced the
compound in copious amounts.
He was shocked to learn that this
chemical, which is made in the body,
was actually acannabinoid,one of
nearly 100 pharmacologically active,
therapeutic compounds also pro-
duced in the hemp plant!

Why was the body making its own
cannabinoids, wondered the doctor.

Dr. Mechoulam went on to dis-
cover other cannabinoids produced
in the body.
He also found the elusive, ‘mis- sing’
receptors, too, but he wasn’t prepared
for what he discovered.

Advanced, cold-pressed extraction of pharmacologically active oil
from select, organic hemp plants alleviates muscle and joint pain, while
promoting restful sleep, and a sense of happiness.

Congress legalizes hemp giving citizens
equal access to powerful, safe, prescrip-
tion-free pain relief.

Why is the Amazon on fire?

People who want to clear land in the
Amazon for business prospects are cut-
ting down portions of the forest, leaving
them out to dry and setting them on fire.
With the trees out of the way, they have
room to grow crops or raise cattle.
This practice is illegalbut is not being
monitored by Brazil’s government, said
Nigel Sizer, chief program officer of
Rainforest Alliance. Not only is the gov-
ernment turning the other way, Presi-
dent Jair Bolsonaro is encouraging the
practice, Sizer said.
“With confidence, we can say that a
lot of that is illegal and is happening be-
cause the government has given the nod
to illegal clearing and burning across the
Amazon,” Sizer said. “The president has
even encouraged the invasion of indige-
nous territories and areas that the pre-
vious administrations have really been
working hard to protect.”
Bolsonaro has blamed environmen-
tal nonprofits for acting as obstacles in
his mission to further develop Brazil’s
economy. His administration has eased
protections of areas such as the Ama-
zon, making way for people to damage
the rainforest.
In response to the staggering in-
crease in wildfires this year, Bolsonaro
suggested nongovernmental organiza-
tions could be starting them to make his
administration look bad. He took office
Jan. 1.
“Maybe – I am not affirming it – these
(NGO people) are carrying out some
criminal actions to draw attention
against me, against the government of
Brazil,” Bolsonaro told reporters.
When asked to provide evidence, he
gave none. “There is a war going on in
the world against Brazil, an information
war,” Bolsonaro said.
Sizer said previous Brazilian admini-
strations have been environmentally
conscious and decreased the rate of de-
forestation. With this president,
though, he said he is worried.
“It takes a while for people to react
and respond, and what we’re seeing
now is the first wave of that,” Sizer said.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if these num-
bers get a lot of worse if the government
does not change course.”

Are the fires normal?

The Amazon holds a lot of moisture –
massive fires aren’t a natural occur-
rence there. Sizer said that if it’s a dry
season and you set a fire in the under-
growth it may spread a little, but it pe-
ters out quickly. But once you start
clearing forest and let the trees dry, fires
can cause more damage, he said.
“The forest shifts from being a fire-
resistant ecosystem to a fire-prone eco-
system,” Sizer said.
The trees, plants and animals in the
Amazon are not adaptive to fire, and so
they are easily killed. That is different
from forests in North America, which
have adapted to wildfires and can sur-
vive them, Sizer said.
Sizer said putting out wildfires in the

Amazon is “basically impossible.”
They’ll run their course until they run
out of chopped-down trees to burn. The
best way to stop a crisis like this is for
the government to strictly protect the
land, said Adrian Forsyth, co-founder of
Amazon Conservation Association.
“If you had an enlightened president
in Brazil, they would put a stop to illegal
deforestation in Brazil, just in the way
that they prevent robbery and murder,”
Forsyth said.

The human consequences

“The Amazon is a rain factory,”
Forsyth said, describing the Amazon’s
role in people’s lives.
He said the Amazon generates rain
that helps crops grow across the Amer-
icas, which affects basic food supplies.
Additionally, without the Amazon’s car-
bon absorption, damage to the climate
becomes increasingly unavoidable, For-
syth said.
“The Amazon is the biggest storer of
tropical carbon in the world, and if that
goes up into the sky it’s going to be im-
possible to meet the climate goals that
we’re trying to establish,” Forsyth said.

Moira Birss, finance campaign direc-
tor of nonprofit Amazon Watch, said the
peoplewho live in or near the forest face
immediate harm.
“The fires specifically for folks who
are living in that are extremely harmful,
the air they’re breathing, the ability to
live their daily lives, and in some cases,
it’s affecting people’s land,” Birss said.
She said people haveasked Amazon
Watch how they can help. Ultimately,
she said, it’s the government’s responsi-
bility to end illegal fire setting. Sizer said
one way people can help, is by donating
to Brazilian environmental groups.
