Sanderson headers through

MagnaFlow mufflers,

and connecting the GM

4L65E trans to the rear is a

driveshaft from Drivelines

Inc.

With the bodywork

and fab out of the way, it

was time for RMD’s Ceron

to paint everything with

a Valspar two-tone sand

over cream combo, which

helps evoke the “factory”
look everyone was going
for. That appearance is
exemplified with the satin
black used in the engine
compartment, across the
core support, as well as
on the inner fender pieces.
Next, John “Harpoon”
Haprov added his artistic
flair by adding the
pinstriped lettering to the

valve covers.
Working inside the
cab Dynamat was laid
out everywhere, and a
Vintage Air A/C system was
installed. Up on the dash,
forward of the Truck Shop
steering wheel, is a new
gauge cluster from Classic
Instruments that has a hint
of ’67 in it (but the small
screen stereo unit next

to it tells you it’s 2019).
Joe Sanchez, from Deluxe
Interiors in El Monte,
California, made the truck’s
interior look far better
than stock with oatmeal
square-weave carpet and
a simple pleated design
used in the leather, both
on the door panels and the
custom-foam bench seat.
