Auto Glass in La Habra,
California, is responsible for
the truck’s glass.
Part of figuring out the
personality of any truck
is to decide what kind of
wheels it should have.
Dogdish hubcaps on steel
wheels says one thing,
while big-inch billet alloy
wheels says something else.
Gus couldn’t really decide
on just one look, so he had
two sets of wheels made
for his ride: one from Mob
Steel that look like factory
steelies but are 20x9s and
11s topped with ’64 C10
hubcaps, while the second
set (same size) are one-off
Budnik wheels. They’re
wrapped in T1 Sports Toyo
Proxes 245/40ZR20 and
255/35ZR20 rubber. For the
Classic Trucks photo shoot,
the passenger side is shown
with the Mob Steel rims and
the driver side is outfitted
with the Budnik wheels.
In reality, it shows the C10
having something of a split
personality: a little bit of
factory nostalgia mixed in
with a little bit of hot rod.
