Automotive supplier LORD has announced plans to

expand its facility in Hückelhoven, Germany, with

a €14-million investment. The Hückelhoven facility

produces thermal management products for EVs

and other industries, including gap fillers, potting,

encapsulants, and thermal adhesives, under the

CoolTherm brand.

LORD expects the expansion to add over 20 employees

to the 70 currently working at the Hückelhoven facility.

A new adjacent facility will add an extra 3,200 meters

of production and office space, and is expected to be

completed by mid-2020.

every vehicle in the world. This strategic investment in

our Hückelhoven facility will further grow our presence

in the EV market while supporting OEMs and enabling

them to meet launch timelines.”
