We wanted the wedding to be romantic
with a country garden theme. It was
important to me that we held our reception
at e Royal Automobile Club as Colin is a
member and we’ve had great times there.
Colin and I prayed for sunny weather so
we could take the sides of the marquee down
and enjoy the views of the surrounding
countryside. Our wish was granted – it
turned out to be the hottest day of the year.
Our day was overflowing with flowers.
We met with By Appointment Only Design’s
Javier and Tony, and they made us feel so at
ease we asked them to design our tables, too.
ey captured our vision perfectly and took
the stress away from organising the decor.
In the evening we had hundreds of
candles scattered all over the lawn. e
walkway leading to the marquee was lit up
in the evening with lanterns and re torches.
One of the most difficult things to find
was the ideal band – we really wanted
someone who would get everyone on the
dance oor. I found a great website called
alivenetwork.com and through it booked
a six-piece pop band called E2. I don’t think
anyone le the dance oor all night.
My top tip Make sure you take it all in. e
day goes so fast. All the stress goes away on
