‘Ömer proposed to me by a lake near
lavender elds in Provence – we had
already fallen in love with the area,
and immediately decided we wanted to
marry there. Our venue, Château du
Martinet, is magical – I chose a pink,
green, cantaloupe and white palette,
which looked fabulous as the sun set
a er our grand entrance. I picked my
dress because I wanted something sexy
(one with some cleavage!) and elegant.
For our menu, we chose lobster tails
with honey lavender sauce, asparagus
risotto with tru es and herb-crusted
lamb chops, followed by a dessert
bu et. I designed the menus and had
them printed locally, while our favours- macaron pill boxes lled with gold
chocolates – had to be shipped from
the US. Finally, we gave the guests fans
to keep them cool – there was a handy
map of the venue on them, too!’
