WHERE THEY BOUGHT IT

‘e best thing about marrying abroad

was that it turned the whole experience

into a three-day holiday with all our

family and closest friends. We visited

the island twice beforehand, renting

a motorbike to drive around and scout

out locations. In the end we chose our

venue for its breathtaking views – we

then decided to have an all-white

colour palette so as not to detract from

the stunning landscape. Decorations

were dicult to source as Santorini

is tiny – I ended up transporting the 60

glass globes we used to put owers in

in my suitcase! Carnation petals in the

swimming pool and cacti on the tables

kept the rest of the decor simple. On

the day, all our guests were welcomed

with a cocktail reception and I arrived

as the sun was setting over the sea.’
