THE XL6 IS A NEW CROSSOVER BASED ON
the Ertiga that Maruti Suzuki are all set to
launch later this month through their Nexa
Experience showrooms. It spiritually follows
the lineage of the XL7 SUV.
The new XL6 looks sleeker, burlier, and

Ertiga which is a seven-seater, with the
middle row featuring two captain seats
instead of the usual bench. The beige cabin
in the Ertiga will be replaced by an all-black
ȴQLVK7KHLQWHULRULVH[SHFWHGWREHDOPRVW
similar but will have more premium
upholstery than the Ertiga.

with the 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine


making 105 hp and 138 Nm and mated to a

automatic option in the form of the four-
speed torque convertor, a combination
seen in the Ertiga as well as the Ciaz.
The XL6 will get standard ABS with EBD,
dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, a
speed warning system, and seatbelt
reminders for the driver as well as the co-
driver. Higher variants should get premium
features along the lines of Maruti Suzuki’s
SmartPlay Studio infotainment unit on a
touchscreen display with Android Auto and
Apple CarPlay compatibility. Top-end
variants are likely to receive automatic
headlamps and wipers, climate control, and
cruise control.

exclusive dealerships, called World of SUVs,
already have a 300-strong network, having
been set up across the country in a record
time of six months. Apart from the new look
and feel, World of SUVs puts digital

customer experience like never before.
Since the hexagon represents the shape
of DNA, the hexagonal design forms have
been carried forward across the dealership
touch-points as an expression of the DNA of

connectivity, luxurious customer lounges,

end SUVs such as the Alturas G4, and a
virtual reality experience for the customer

mirroring of the tablets appears on 86-inch
screens, giving the entire family the
experience.
The zone will also have specially trained
relationship managers for a more
personalized experience. Sales assistance
will now be aided through digital
interventions which will ensure paperless
interaction. Tablets will be used to capture
customer information and, in turn, provide
a demo to the customer based on his/her
queries.

HYUNDAI HAVE REVEALED THE ALL-NEW,
third-generation Grand i10 and it sure
looks like a stunner. With very modern
design lines and elements, it is bound to
stand out of the crowd. We expect it to
mark the début of the new BS-VI engines
— both 1.2 petrol and diesel units — as
well as enhanced safety features and
equipment. No word on price as yet, but it
will be at a slight premium for sure.

TECH-ENABLED PRE-OWNED CAR

CARS24, a used car buying and selling
platform, will now be able to facilitate
vehicle loans to customers as well as
ȴQDQFHFKDQQHOSDUWQHUVWRKHOSWKHP
expand their businesses. While the
customers will be eligible for a credit based
on the car value they are buying, channel
partners will be eligible to a credit as high
as Rs 1 crore depending upon their
requirement.
