Ski-Doo Backcountry X-RS 146T
he Backcountry X-RS is the product of blending
the best of Ski-Doo’s backcountry trifecta—
Summit, Renegade, and Freeride. This combina-
tion creates a machine that is not only a beast in
the powder but takes on the corners and bumps of the trail
as well. This is in part due to the cMotion rear suspension.
This suspension, which is another pairing of trail and
mountain, combines what we love about the rMotion trail
and tMotion mountain skids and is what we consider to be
the best skid on the market in this class. Add to this the
nimble Gen 4 Chassis and KYB easily adjustable shocks
and you have a machine that is ready for anything. Itshould be noted, this snowmobile leans a little heavy into
mountain riding, especially with the PowderMax 2-inch lug,
however, pair it with the Ice Cobra 1.6-inch lug and it’s a
perfect combination of 50/50 riding. The advanced tech-
nology really takes the lead on this sled. The Rotax 850
E-TEC engine is both powerful and responsive, but also
