WHAT IS YOUR

GROOM THINKING?

KEVIN HART, WHO’S NEWLY ENGAGED,

GETS GRILLED BY JOSH GAD ABOUT

WHAT’S REALLY ON A GUY’S MIND ON

HIS WAY TO “I DO”

JOSH GAD: Oh hey, Kevin
Har t, from such things as
our new film, The Wedding
Ringer. Congratulations
on your engagement.
KEVIN HART: Thanks, Josh.
JG: In the movie, my movie
really, you play a profes-
sional best man. Brides
readers want to know,
have you been a grooms-
man or best man before,
and how did it go?
KH: I’ve been a best man twice
and given two great speeches.
And though I wasn’t the best
man at D-Wade’s wedding, I
think that my speech bumped
me up to best ma n. I floored
the room. Tears. It’s a talent.

JG: You dropped something—
Dwyane Wade’s name.
I’ll pick it up for you. What
does it take to be a good
groomsman, beyond plan-
ning the most raucous
bachelor party and looking
good in a tux?
KH: Actually, I think the days
of the wild, crazy bachelor
party are over.

JG: People are starting
to move away from Vegas.
I get a lot of phone calls
now about Costa Rica.
KH: My friends are just doing
dinners and dressing up
and sitting at a lounge and
reminiscing. The female
entertainment that once was
huge? We’re over it.

JG: If only the reader could
look into your eyes and see
what a dirty liar you are.
KH: It’s true! I’m not just
say ing it because my fia ncée
[Eniko Parrish] is in the
room and I want her to let
me have a bachelor party.
JG: What is the bigges t
thing about the wedding
that freaks the groom out?
KH: For us, it’s the guest list,
because you don’t want to
leave people out.

JG: I’m coming either way.
KH: If this mov ie does well,
