central Germany into the Balkans and

Italy. Some of these storms could

lead to fl ash fl ooding and produce

hail. Parts of north-western Spain

will experience the odd thundery

shower. An area of high pressure over

the Baltic States will keep the rest of

Europe largely dry. A late-summer

heat wave will continue across France

with max temperatures in the low

to mid-30s, while parts of southern

England will reach into the upper 20s.
