Golf
This is a great activity as it is
low impact and an individual
sport. Many golf clubs have
driving ranges so it is a great
place to start to practice
hitting the ball. Once they
get confident then there are
several smaller golf courses
around where they do pay
and play so you don’t have to
become a member. This gives
children a good idea as to
what playing golf is like.
Archery
Again, this is an individual
sport, low impact and more
about focus, concentration
and accuracy. Children can
quickly build confidence and
tend to find their accuracy
and skills progress quite
quickly.
Sport Stacking
This can be done in the house.
You don’t need to attend a
club. Benefits include not only
physical development, but
also better concentration,
muscle memory and cognitive
development. Because they
use both left and right sides of
the brain.
Dance
There are so many different
types of dance classes and
groups that there really is
something for everyone, boys
and girls alike. From traditional
ballet and tap, to Zumba
to street dance, you can
perform and dance at your
own level. It is social as well as
good for keeping fit.
