After self-made millionaire Jonathan
Hart, Robert, 89, made it a point to
do a number of things. He co-starred
in eight Hart to Hart TV movies (with
Stefanie), a trio of Austin Powers
films and has made dozens of TV
appearances, including on Hope
& Faith, Two and a Half Men and as
Anthony DiNozzo Sr. on NCIS. He and
wife Jill St. John will celebrate their
30th anniversary next year.

While wife Jennifer Hart was
one lady who knew how to take
care of herself, Stefanie, 76, has
been a woman taken with doing
miniseries, à la Mistral’s Daughter
and Hollywood Wives, as well as
appearing onstage in productions of
Love Letters (with Robert), Applause
and Gotta Dance. She also starred in
the BBC series Doctors and wrote an
autobiography, One from the Hart.
Lionel Stander 1908–1994
Following the Harts’ butler Max,
Lionel served himself well. He’d
reprise his Golden Globe–winning
Max in a few TV pics, starred on the
series The Boys and appeared in the
films The Transformers: The Movie
and Cookie before passing from
lung cancer. Said Stefanie,
who had her own battle with
lung cancer, “He was
a fabulous man.”
