Yes, the Black Edition was next to last, but surviving for more than 10 hours is a
respectable result for a desktop replacement with a 4K screen. It’ll get you
through a workday, even if you’ll charge it at least part of the time.


A GOOD DEAL IN A NARROW NICHE
As I’ve written before, I’m biased against 15.6-inch convertibles—I think they’re
all too big and heavy for airline tray tables or cradling in the crook of your arm
as tablets. They satisfy a small segment of users who need desktop productivity,
a dash of content creation, and some emphasis on presentations. For them, my
favorite is probably the HP Spectre x360 15 AMOLED for its dazzling display.

Although it lacks a Thunderbolt 3 port, it gets a lot of other things right, starting
with its ingenious pen holder. It deserves a spot on shoppers’ short lists,
