Webb for a new singer-song-
writing collective — Brandi
Carlile, Maren Morris,
Amanda Shires, and Natalie
Hemby — “The Highwomen”
swaps the original’s mythic
male narratives for female
ones: an immigrant mom
who dies fleeing Honduras
through Mexico, a “witch”
hanged in Salem,
