Anthea is now engaged to Mark Armstrong

Anthea to wed as love life takes turn for better

ANTHEA Turner has become
engaged for a third time – after
just five months of dating.
The former Blue Peter host, 59,
is dating business tycoon Mark
Armstrong and is set to walk
down the aisle for a third time.
Yesterday she told Scala Radio,
where she works as a presenter:
“He’s keeping me very happy,”
before telling the show’s hosts
they were invited to the wedding.
“Finally after all this time we

did it. He proposed in Rome, it’s
such a romantic city,” she added.
The news comes some seven
years after her much publicised
split with second husband Grant
Bovey in 2013 – after he cheated
on her with a woman half her age.
She had previously been mar-
ried to DJ Peter Powell between
1990 and 1998.
Ms Turner met Mr Armstrong,

55, at London’s Wellington club
earlier this year.
A source close to the star said:
“He’s half-Italian, very charis-
matic and good looking, plus a
few years younger, which is a
boon.
“Anthea has had a rocky few
years, and had almost given up on
finding love again. But she met
Mark at London’s Wellington club.
“He fancied her straight away
and they swapped details.” Ms

Turner married Bovey in 2000,
but in 2013 found the property
developer had been unfaithful.
After their divorce in 2015 Ms
Turner, once the second highest-
paid female presenter on TV,
swapped a £10million Surrey
mansion for a flat in London.
Four years ago the ex-GMTV
presenter appeared on Celebrity
First Dates looking for love, and
in 2017 she wrote a book called
How To Survive Divorce.
