GRACE DEAN 28
HEAD OF SHORT FORM,
ITN PRODUCTIONS
Nominated by Ian Rumsey,
director of TV production,
ITN Productions
“It’s through Grace’s drive
and determination that ITN
Productions has expanded into
podcasting with huge success,”
says Ian Rumsey.
As the indie’s head of short-
form, Grace Dean has developed
new podcasts involving key
talent such as Bear Grylls and
Russell Kane, on diverse subjects
ranging from Sherlock Holmes to
AI and female empowerment in
the workplace.
As well as helping the producer
increase its slate of podcasts for
audio content platform Audible
and short-form docs for BBC
Ideas, Grace oversees daily enter-
tainment bulletins on terrestrial
TV, including output for ITV2’s
FYI Daily and Channel 5’s Access.
She is also in charge of
developing ideas for documen-
taries and has a great track
record in converting ideas into
programmes, according to
Rumsey. “Grace’s potential is
boundless,” he says. “Her experi-
ence and maturity bely her age.
There is no doubt that she will
be a creative force in the industry
for years to come.”
Prior to ITN, Grace worked as a
producer for MailOnline, BBC
Newsbeat and the Guardian Online.
That experience is paying off.
Rumsey notes: “Brimming
with ideas, skilled in production,
flexible between formats and
both creative and commercially
minded, Grace is an innovator
who stays true to the principles
of journalistic integrity.”
