What type of couple would be attracted
to your venue? Any couple wanting a wildly
romantic sunset wedding on a gorgeous white
sand beach right beside the “Lagoon of Love”
in the South Pacific.
What are some of your most popular dining
options? Couples enjoy the private, candlelit
beach dining experience, which includes a
delectable four-course menu served by their own
personal waiter. For larger groups, we offer a
delicious Island BBQ, banquet and set menus.
Do you cater for vegetarians? We cater to
a wide range of dietary requirements including
vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free,
soy-free, vegan and raw vegan.
Do you offer both sit-down and cocktail-style
receptions? Yes we do. You can have stand-up,
pre-dinner cocktails and canapés in our Blue
Lagoon Marquee at sunset, followed by a sit-down
reception in the Treetops Verandah Room.
Can couples BYO wine? No, because we’re a
fully licensed resort.What exactly does the cost per head cover?
It includes a buffet dinner and three-hour
beverage package for 30 guests. Extra guests
can be added for NZD 155 per person.
What type of packages do you offer?
Our Dreamtime Aruru All-Inclusive Wedding
Package is the most popular. It includes five nights
for the bride and groom in a beachfront suite
(with transfers and breakfast), reception venue
hire, a buffet dinner and three-hour beverage
package for 30 guests, wedding cake, plus use of
our private nightclub – all for NZD 5,999.
Do you have a special area for ceremonies?
We offer many beautiful ceremony locations;
beside the Aroa Lagoon (Lagoon of Love), under
the Aroa Beach Gazebo, Tropical Garden Gazebo
or Love Tree, and also at Sanctuary Rarotonga-on
the Beach (our adjacent adults-only resort).
For evening receptions, do you request an
official finishing time? While the island has a
general noise curfew of 10pm, at The Rarotongan
we offer a unique, private nightclub (Latitude
21-30) where you can party with your wedding
