Great Destination Weddings

Why The Samaya Seminyak?
“The Samaya offered wonderful wedding packages,
and we were especially happy about being able
to incorporate authentic Balinese cuisine into
our menu. As we couldn’t be there in person to
organise everything ourselves we knew we
needed a wedding coordinator we could trust.
The Samaya staff were hospitable and helpful
right from the start, so we had a lot of faith in
them. The food was amazing, the service was
impeccable, and we had a really stress-free,
fun-filled day.”

Quirky Celebrations/Rituals
“My husband’s European family sang Polish wedding
songs, and my brother organised a private
Balinese fire dancing show for after the ceremony.”

Music/Entertainment
“My brother compiled a jazz playlist for the
reception, and I walked down the aisle to the
tune of a Balinese flute, accompanied by sweet
Balinese flower girls.”

The Menu
“We enjoyed an extraordinary, four-course,
Balinese sit-down dinner. Delicious dishes
included chicken noodle or seafood soup with
shrimp crackers, marinated jumbo prawns with
spinach salad, and braised duck in coconut sauce
with Balinese spices.”

Superior Service
“I was worried about thunderstorms that
threatened to dampen our beach ceremony.
Our wedding coordinators, Shanti and Sepi
gave us regular weather updates and moved
the ceremony decorations undercover and then
out onto the beach about four times due to the
unpredictable weather. The altar had heavy pillars
so we know it couldn’t have been easy moving the
decorations that many times – which shows how
hard everyone worked to ensure we had our
dream wedding.”

Special Memory
“Having a reception dinner on the beach with
our closest family and friends as we listened to
gentle ocean waves was truly unforgettable. To
top it off, there were fireflies around our dinner
table! We don’t see them in Canada often, so it
made the night seem even more like a fairytale.”
