MAKE IT LEGAL: Before getting married you need

to organise an authorised marriage celebrant or religious

practitioner to conduct the ceremony. You’ll need to give

notice of your intent to marry by completing a Notice

of Intended Marriage that is signed in the presence of a

qualified witness, then lodge it with your chosen celebrant

at least one month before your desired wedding date. Don’t

forget to provide evidence of your identity to your marriage

celebrant – dig out your birth certificate, passport and

divorce papers (if it applies).
