Emma, Viscountess Wey-
mouth, 33, was a class act in a
pink floral gown with plunging
neck-line, while BBC pundit
and former Arsenal footballer
Alex Scott, 34, was a vision in
yellow in a low-cut sequined
mini dress.
Actress Catherine Tyldesley,
35, in a white dress with sheer
sleeves, smiled as former
Olympic rower James Crack-
nell, 47, leant over to take her

hand and give it a kiss. And
just a week after professional
dancers Katya Jones, 30, and
her husband Neil, 37,
announced their split, the pair
looked happy in each other’s
company as they performed a
routine for screaming fans.
They celebrated their sixth
wedding anniversary this
month, but the couple have
called it a day ten months

after Miss Jones was caught
drunkenly kissing her celeb-
rity partner last year, come-
dian Seann Walsh.
But the show must go on –
and they performed effort-
lessly together, twisting and
flicking at the launch.
Anton Du Beke, 53, also
seemed to be enjoying himself
as he danced with fellow pro-
fessional Dianne Buswell, 30.

Presenters Claudia Winkle-
man, 47, and Tess Daly, 50,
wore contrasting outfits, with
Miss Winkleman in a loose-fit-
ting red glittery suit and Miss
Daly in a dark velvet dress.
Ahead of the red carpet
launch Miss Scott told her fol-
lowers on Instagram: ‘So it’s
Strictly red carpet day. We get
to strut our stuff in our Strictly
glam to everyone. This is excit-
ing, I can’t wait.’
Between last night’s display
and the series returning later
next month, the celebrities
will be honing their dance
skills in the studio.
The launch programme will
be broadcast on September 7
before the series kicks off later
in the month.

TANS, tassels and no shortage
of thigh-split dresses... Strictly
Come Dancing is back and it
looks set to be as flashy as ever.
Last night’s launch event in
London gave fans a glimpse of the
contestants as they strutted their
stuff on stage for the first time.
TV host Anneka Rice, 60, seemed to
be swept up in the Strictly spirit as
she threw her hands in the air, beaming
in a tasselled turquoise mini dress.
But eyes were locked firmly on new
judge Motsi Mabuse who looked at

bing shoulders and posing alongside
head judge Shirley Ballas.
The 38-year-old, who is sister of pro-
fessional dancer Oti, went all out in a
one-shoulder black ruffle top with a
dramatic layered tulle skirt.
Meanwhile Miss Ballas, 58, looked
elegant next to the new judge in a
flowing white and purple gown and
sleek bobbed haircut.
