Bronze with their lovely senior
stallion Lissar (Gazal Al Shaqab x
Larissa). A classic Polish stallion
bred by Janow Podlaski, Lissar is
a brilliant mover and a fine
combination of the best of his sire
and his maternal grandsire,
Eukaliptus. Silver went to Nafiesa
Arabians of Holland for their
homebred stallion Nafiesa
Makito, a white stallion of lovely
old-fashioned type, by the double
Ali Jamaal stallion MF Aryan El
Thessa out of Nafiesa Maleika by
Ajman Moniscione.
As for the gelding class,
despite the prize money of offer,
there were no entries. The foal
class, however, was definitely a
highlight, though again there
were only two competitors. The
winner this time was a lovely
straight Egyptian filly by Naseem
Al Rashediah, Al Ilaf Mahira (out
of Mouna Al Sham), bred and
owned by Al Ilaf Arabians of
Germany, who flew around the
ring at a trot that put many of
the trained show horses to
shame. Not to mention that she
also had the biggest, blackest
eyes of the entire show and
practically oozed charm.
Between her and the Reserve
winner, which was once more the
showy and confident Hero MA,
this class, though it was one of
the smallest, was also one of the
most delightful of the show.
