In the closet with

their Curve line starts at size 18.
New Look also does a curve line,
while Monsoon, Boohoo, Boden
and John Lewis are all pretty good
when it comes to plus sizes.
Who is your favourite designer?
Can’t think of one.
What do you wear on the red
carpet? I love dressing up for an
event, especially if I can theme it.
I wore a 50s-style Lindy Bop skirt
with watercolour ducks all over it
to an RSPCA awards. I was invited
to meet the Pope. I was asked to
wear all black but I said I couldn’t
give my best unless I wear colour

  • my mission is to spread joy,
    positivity and happiness – so
I wore a frilly fuchsia skirt by Chi
Chi London with a black top.
Have you a style icon? Princess
    Diana always looked sensational,
but it’s sad she was unhappy with
the way she looked. I love it when
a woman wears what she loves,
    regardless of whether she’s got
    cellulite or varicose veins. You’ve
only a limited time on this Earth
and your body is just a body, a
dress is just a piece of cloth, so
don’t beat yourself up and don’t
take it too seriously. My mum was
only 37 when she died and I very
much doubt that in her last days
she looked at any of her pictures

Writer Louise, 34, is a parenting
and lifestyle vlogger with 2.4 million
YouTube followers. A UK global
ambassador for gender equality,
she has filmed with the Pope and
worked with Prince Charles. She
lives in Northampton with her
daughters, Darcy, eight, and Pearl,
18 months, and partner Liam.
How would you describe your
style? Bright, fun with a sprinkle
of glitter whenever possible.
Which colours and shapes suit
you best? I’m a size 18-20 with
big hips and I suit 50s A-line
skirts but nothing tight around my
tummy or hips. I used to wear
black, grey and navy to cover up
and look smaller. Then someone
said you are always going to look
the size you are, regardless of
what colour you wear. It was
liberating. I love pretty feminine
florals, brights and pastels. They
make me feel happy.
Which is your favourite fashion
era? The 50s and early 60s when
clothes had fit and flair. But it
wasn’t just about the shape.
I love the way people dressed
up more and accessorised from
top-to-toe – the hat, the gloves,
the handbag, the shoes... Today
women are often afraid of looking
overdressed, which is a shame.
Which are your favourite
high-street brands? ASOS. Their
regular line goes up to 18, while
