Real life

YOU CAN RALLY
AROUND JENNY
The Women Riders World Relay
was founded by 27-year-old UK
office manager Hayley Bell last August.
It officially started in February and will
continue across the world with a hand-
carved baton passed along to women in some
100 countries before winding up in the
United Arab Emirates in January 2020.
Around 200 women are expected to take
part in the Kiwi leg, which begins in
Waitangi on September 7 and heads
to Invercargill. From there, the baton
will be transported to Canada,
to carry on the relay.
