FALL 2019 GUNS OF THE OLD WEST 25

  1. After CBA stopped making
    blackpowder models (to become
    Henry Repeating Arms) there
were only a handful of remaining
Paterson Colts left, most of which
    were purchased by America
    Remembers. Twenty of those
guns were used for the last
    Paterson commemorative issue
    in 2011, an authentic two-barrel
cased set with the most accurate
    accessories ever made. 2. The
    two-barrel set included a first-ever
    12-inch barrel and a 4-5/8-inch
barrel. The prototype built in 2011
    was given an experimental aged
finish that proved too difficult to
    duplicate on the handbuilt guns.

  2. One of the most impressive
    accessories for a cased black-
powder pistol ever made was the
    original 1842 Paterson two-piece
    powder-and-ball flask, shown
taken apart as it would have been
for loading with powder and balls.
