The Shootist is a close tie with The
Cowboys for my favorite John Wayne film.
Each leaves a lump in my throat at the
end,andinmyopinion,bothareamong
The Duke’s finer works.
John Wayne transcends generations as
an actor, and as a man. I believe he will
always be a favorite among red-blooded
Americans and Western film fans the
world over. It is truly fitting that EMF is
offering The Shootist sixgun as a tribute
to him and the movie. My test sample was
handsome, felt good in hand, ran reliably
and proved capable at the range. If you’re
in the market for an SAA clone that shoots
every bit as well as it looks, The Shootist is
for you. Considering the features it offers,
I don’t think you can beat the price, and
the Galco rig is a good bet, too! ✪
