tiva, modificandoliconi gesti o anchesoloconla propriapre-
senza. Muovendosiin un costante cambio di prospettiva, che
li fa sentire dei giganti e subito dopopiccolicomeformiche, i
visitatoridiventanoparte attiva delprocessoartistico: le su-
perfici, sensibili al fascio di luce blu chele rasenta, “registra-
no” le silhouettedei loro corpi generandoil paradossopercui
è la stanza a fotografare le personeanzichéil contrario.
In altre saleinvece è possibile interagire congrandisfere per
creare un proprio personalissimosistemasolare, oppure si
puòcamminare in quellachesembra polvere di stelle, in mo-
vimento grazie all’elettricità statica; o ancora elementi simili
a organismitrasparenti comele meduse, se toccati, iniziano
a rotolare lasciandodietro di sé unascialuminescente, che
componesegnisurreali similia dipinti rupestri o disegni
infantili.Conquesta mostra Roosegaarde mira a stimolare
l’immaginazionee la creatività dellepersone. Lo stessotema
della“presenza”, metafora dell’impatto chel’uomohasul
pianeta, garantisceambienti sempre diversie inediticon-
trapponendosial diktat secondocuinei musei l’arte è pen-

Moving in a constant changeof perspective that makes them
feel like giants and immediately afterwards as small as ants,
they becomean active part of the artistic process: the surfaces,
sensitive to the beamof blue light that constantly scans them,
“register”theshadowscastbytheirbodies,creatingaparadoxi-
calsituationinwhichitistheroomthatphotographsthepeople
instead of the other way round.
Inotherroomsitispossibletointeractwithlargespherestocre-
ateapersonalizedsolarsystemofyourown,ortowalkthrough
whatseemstobestardust,keptinmotionbystaticelectricity;or
again elementsresemblingtransparent organismslike jellyfish
start to roll when touched, leaving behind them a luminescent
wakethatcomposessurrealsignsreminiscentofrockpaintings
orchildren’s drawings.WiththisexhibitionRoosegaardehasset
out to stimulate people’s imagination and creativity. The very
themeof“presence”,ametaphorfortheimpactthathumanityis
having on the planet, ensures settings that are always different
and new, opposing the diktat that art in museums is intended
only to be looked at. ○
