hese owners have been living in the area for a number of years

and have grown to love having the best of both worlds at their

disposal. “We enjoy the balance the area offers between the

beautiful beaches on the one side and the winelands on the

other,” says the owner.

They had a clear vision about the design and décor. “We spent quite some

time on the detail, because we were both very specific on what we wanted,”

the owner says.

The design is based on creating light and open-plan spaces that all flow

into one another – from the TV lounge at the one end to the braai room at

the other, with the kitchen, lounge and cocktail lounge in between. Huge

glass doors open up these spaces, creating a seamless flow. “With no other

house on our doorstep, a tranquil feeling of openness has been created,”

says the owner.

The interior boasts cool, calming shades accentuated by pops of colour,

making for a tranquil and relaxed ambience. The kitchen is a large space and

the owners have opted to ensure the countertops and appliances stand out.

“We wanted to make a statement in this large space,” says the owner.
