“We chose this town as it’s only one

hour’s drive from Johannesburg. We built the home

to give our family the opportunity to get out of the

city with the grandchildren and get back to what we

believe children should be doing – fishing, canoeing

and generally being outdoors. We are a stone’s throw

away from the river and since we all love fishing, this

makes it an ideal holiday home for them when they

come to visit,” says the home owner.

The views throughout the home are spectacular,

with each room facing the river.

“Our favourite room is the main bedroom, the

position of which overlooks the river rapids and

mountains. Waking up to this sight and the sound of

the fish eagle is breathtaking,” says the owner.
