Places to stay

Matlock
This popular market town is where our
ride starts and finishes, so is as good
a place as any to stay. With hotels and
plenty of holiday lets along with a good
selection of places to eat, it ’s ideal. It ’s
near the M1 too, so is easy to get to.

Bakewell
A round 40km in to our route, you
could start here. You’ll have to update
the route in your Komoot profile but it
gives you options on directions on this
figure-of-eight circuit. There are also
plenty of good places to stay and eat.
Bagshaw Hall offers some luxury while
the Rutland A rms is also popular.
