timeless options that create interest with subtlety. “Our approach to ‘pattern’
is often as a delicate layer integrated into the architectural setting,” says
Lorène Faure of Bean Buro. “We prefer to subtly express the wood grains,
stone textures, tactility of fabrics, and natural reflexivity of metals.” These
natural touches also complement more colourful and graphic approaches
to pattern, which often require an anchoring element.
