storage.” Aviva agrees that appliances are important.
“Kitchen equipment is a good investment,” she says, adding,
“good quality appliances last for years, so go for the big
brands.”
Lighting is also an important element of kitchen
design. “A good kitchen should have sufficient direct lights
for cooking and perhaps some indirect lighting to bring out
the materials in the interior design,” says Kelvin. Ellie takes
it one step further, incorporating the illuminations into the
aesthetic outlook of the area. “Adding a feature pendant
light in addition to task lighting adds style to your kitchen,”
she explains. “It’s like adding jewellery to our outfit. It adds
a bit of sparkle and interest to what is otherwise a functional
area of the home.”
“And buy beautiful pots and pans which become part
of your look and don’t need to be hidden away,” says Aviva.
“I favour Le Creuset in a contrasting colour to your decor.”

的物料。」Kelvin說。Ellie更進一步，加裝一些能美化空間
的燈飾。「在工作照明的基本裝置上加添一盞特色吊燈，能
令廚房更具風格。」她續說：「就像為衣裳配襯首飾，為這
個實用空間注入活力和趣味。」
「選購漂亮的鍋具，使之成為裝飾的一部分，不用特意
收起。」Aviva說：「我喜歡Le Creuset的設計，為廚房加入
悅目的對比色彩。」
