WORKING PATTERN
Start at top of the hat.
Ch 4, join with a slst to form a ring.
Row 1: Ch 2, 11 tr in the ring, join
with slst in top of ch2 (12 tr).
Row 2: Ch 2, 2 tr in each stitch
around (24 tr).
Row 3: Ch 2 (first tr) fps, 1 tr in
next 2 stitches, fps, 1 tr. * 1 tr, 1
fps, 1 tr, 1 tr,1 fps, 1 tr. * Repeat * to
* 4 more times. Join to top of ch
(36 tr).
Row 4: Ch 2 (first tr) * fps and 1xtr
in same stitch, 1 tr, 1 tr * repeat *
to * 11 more times, fps and 1 x tr
in same stitch, 1 tr. Join with a slst
(48 tr).
Row 5: Ch 2 (first tr) * fps, 1tr, fbs
and 1 tr in next stitch, 1 tr * repeat
from * to * 11 more times, fps, 1 tr,
fbs, 1 tr. Join with slst to top of ch- (60 st).
Row 6 to 16: Ch 2, fps, 2 tr in next

MAKING FLOWER
Ch 4 slst to form a ring.
Row 1: Ch 2, 11 dc in the ring, slst
to top of ch2. (12 tr).
Row 2: * Ch 3 miss 1 tr, 1 tr in front
posts only, repeat from * around.
Row 3: * slst in to beginning ring,
1 x , 4 x tr and 1 dc in next ch 3
space. Repeat from * around slst
in beginning ring (6 petals).
Row 4: * dc in back loop of
previous row dc, ch 4 repeat from
* around, join with slst in first dc.Row 5: In next 4 chain space * dc,
hlftr, tr, 3 x dbltr, tr, hlftr, dc repeat
from * around the row. Slst in first
dc to join.
Fasten off leaving a 15cm tail; use
the tail to sew the flower on to
