build: long block, carbureted, or fuel injecte
Whichever engine you choose, BluePrint
guarantees it will make at least 430 horsepower—
and you’ll get the dyno sheet to prove it.
Which to Choose: If you want to use your induction and ignition systems,
the long block is the way to go. Like carburettors? Get a ‘dressed’ long
block which comes with an aluminium dual-plane intake manifold, 750
CFM Holley vacuum secondary carburettor, and an HEI distributor. You
can also opt for the full-zoot engine which adds a harmonic balancer,
a mechanical water pump, spark plugs and wires, and an air cleaner
assembly. Ifyou want EFI, BluePrint makes a dressed long block which
comes with a Holley Sniper self-tuning throttle body system on a dual-
plane intake manifold. The EFI system comes with the ECU, handheld

About That Dyno Sheet: As we mentioned, each BluePrint crate engine
comes with a dyno test sheet which manufacturers charge extra
for. BluePrint rates each of these 383s at 430 horsepower and 450 ft-
lbs of torque, but don’t be surprised if your particular engine makes
more—be happy! BluePrint backs each engine with a 30 month/50,00 0
