Make your model stand out
A
company new to me at
the show was Bases by
Bill , this manufacturer
produces a whole range of
bases using Cherry, Walnut,
Aspen and Mahogany,
What makes these bases
stand out is that they use
laminations and painting
to provide a wide selection
to manufacturers, national
insignias and squadrons badges.
A base which is suitable for
displaying a 1/48 to 1/32 scale
costs between $30 to $40s with
the most expensive to date
being the Blue Max suitable for
1/32 scale which retails for $75
pre inished in a blue and gold.
This company is more than
happy to produce custom bases
for your latest project, contact
them at http://www.basesbybill.com.
Almost time
I
have been following the
development of Zoukei-
Mura’s Henschel Hs-129
since it was irst announced
over 3 years ago. At the
show, we had examples
of the plastic runners as
well as a semi-complete
built-up model Though
we still do not
have a deinitive
release date I am
hopeful this kit
may be available
at Telford and
we know it will come
in three boxing with
diferent versions of
the under-fuselage
gun pod. Though
I m sure the one
with the massive
Bordkannone BK 75
mm cannon will be the
best selling of the three.
We have also been
informed that new
projects include a
Messerschmitt BF-109
series and Arado AR-234
Blitz and P-51B Mustang
all in 1/32 scale, and a
long nosed Phantom.

a completed Tamiya 1/48 scale

a set of runners. Also, a prize draw gave 300
lucky attendees the chance to win a white
box preproduction example of this kit.
Unfortunately, the rest of us will have
have to wait till November before we will get
a chance to build this very attractive aircraft.
