Kingdom, November 1944.
CONCLUSION
This is a kit that just cries out
“Build me, Build me now!”
In fact as soon as I had taken
the photographs, I was busy
cutting parts of the sprues
and test itting the major parts.
This revealed a near perfect it
and is a reminder of how far
Eduard have come over the last
25 years. The early kits were
very basic and needed a lot of
modelling skill to complete,
where as now the kits are state
of the art with a level of detail
and accuracy which easily rivals
anything else produced today.
The only real downside of this
release is its extremely limited
nature. If you cannot make the
US Nationals you can purchase
the kit from the Eduard website
and web store. Major hobby
companies like Sprue Brothers
and Hannants are hoping
to be acquire examples for
general sale after the IPMS US
Nationals in Chattanooga.
Of course this is not the
last we will see of the Mustang
as it will be released in all of
its various forms starting
with the D variant without
the tail illet. This kit will be
a Proipack edition and will
be on sale at Eday at the end
of September. In 2020 we will
have the Royal Class edition,
more Proipacks and no doubt
a Weekend Edition without the
photo-etched steel and masks.
Our sincere thanks to
Eduard for supplying this kit
before its worldwide release.
