A longtime resident of
Reading, passed away at his
home on August 29, 2019,
at 98 years of age. He was born on
September 16, 1920 in Winchester, MA,
and was the son of Willis H. and Vivian
(Casson) Burbank. In his hometown of
Reading, Nelson was active in various
philanthropic projects including the
Burbank Ice Arena and the Burbank
YMCA.
Nelson served in the Army Air Force
during WWII, in the first B-29 Bomb
Wing. He flew 33 missions as a remote
central fire control gunner over China,
Burma, Japan and India where he
survived a crash landing. Among his
decorations, he was awarded the Presi-
dential Unit Citation, the Distinguished
Flying Cross, and the Air Medal with
fiveoakleafclusters.
In 1946, Nelson joined the invest-
ment firm of Vance Sanders and Com-
pany. Under the G.I. Bill of Rights, he
attended Boston University. In 1953, he
founded Burbank & Co., Inc. with offic-
es throughout New England. Burbank
& Co., Inc. was acquired by investment
firm A.G. Edwards and Sons in 1982.
His legacy lives on today at Burbank
Wealth Management. He was Chair-
man of the Board of Governors, of the
Boston Stock Exchange, Chairman of
the NASD District 13 Business Conduct
Committee, and served on the Board of
Governors of the National Association
of Securities Dealers. He was also presi-
dent of the Bond Club of Boston. He
served on the Board of Directors of A.G.
Edwards and Sons, Massbank Corpora-
tion, Health Insurance of Vermont, and
NewEngland DigitalCorp.
Nelson was happily married to the
love of his life, the late Rita (Healey)
Burbank for 63 years. He was the
devoted father of Peter N. Burbank and
his wife Sheila of Andover, Nelson S.
Burbank, Jr. and his wife Joan of York
Harbor, ME, Jane Burbank and her
companion Rich Meelia of Winchester.
Loving grandfather of Kara Burbank
and husband Michael Furlong, Mary
Burbank, Peter N. Burbank, Jr., Michael
Burbank and fiancée Amy Festa, Alexis
Burbank and fiancé Jamie Marino,
Whitney Burbank, Paul Perry and Viv-
ian Perry and fiancé Benjamin McClel-
lan. Loving great-grandfather of Ryan,
Dylan and Miller Furlong. Cherished
uncle of Richard Holt and his wife
Barbara, grand uncle of Alex Holt and
wife Felice and their son Noah, and
Nick and wife Julie.
A Visitation will be held on Wednes-
day, September 4, at the St. Athanasius
Parish Center, 300 Haverhill St., Read-
ing, from 4:00-8:00PM. A Funeral Mass
will be held on Thursday, September 5,
at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill
St., Reading, at 10:30AM. Burial with
military Honors will follow at Forest
Glen Cemetery in Reading. In lieu of

Robert “Bob” Emmett An-
derson, age 89, of Bedford,
former resident of Lexing-
ton for over 53 years, died peacefully
after a 7-week battle with heart failure
on Thursday, August 30, 2019, in the
prayerful company of his family.
He was married to Eleanor M. An-
derson with whom he celebrated their
62nd wedding anniversary on February
23, 2019. Born in Boston, MA, he was
the son of the late Charles William
Anderson and Elizabeth (Foy) Ander-
son. Besides his wife, he is survived
by his sons, Christopher and his wife
Catherine Anderson of Westford; Scott
Anderson of Biloxi, MS; and Jeffrey and
his wife Candace Anderson of Mystic,
CT; a brother, Charles and his wife
Amelia Anderson of Wells, ME; a sister,
Patricia Klos of Republic, MO; sister-
in-law Priscilla Sarno of Waltham, MA;

Margaret was a retired employee
of the Dedham Public Schools and a
dedicated volunteer in the Southwest
Boston Case Aid program and the After-
School program at the Parkway YMCA.
A devoted parishioner of both Holy
Name and St. Theresa of Avila Church,
West Roxbury, Teeny and Mike together
taught CCD in their home for decades.
Weekly, they prepared hundreds of
meals for the homeless as the “Tuesday
Night Supper Group,” which they
delivered and served to nightly visitors
at the old Pine Street Inn.
Teeny was a longtime member of the
Boston Harbor Yacht Club and loved
nothing more than a dip in the harbor,
even before it was clean.
Her door was always open and her
table was always set for a drop-in visit,
a quick meal or a cup of tea. She was
loved by all who knew her. She will be
greatly missed.
Our deepest gratitude and apprecia-
tion to the caregivers, nurses and prac-
titioners at Rogerson House, Jamaica
Plain. Remembrances may be made to

Age 89, of Concord, formerly of Hyde
Park, died August 30, 2019, in the
comfort of her home surrounded by her
loving family.
Fannie was a retired administrative
assistant who worked for many years
at Curry College. She was an avid pho-
tographer, taking thousands of pictures
of her family and her travels around
the world. As an active member of the
Mystic Valley Railway Society, she loved
to travel around the country.
She was the devoted wife of the late
George Chung, and the loving mother
of Patricia Tecu (m. William Tecu) of
Milton, Marie Chung of Concord, Peter
ChungofCanton,AndrewChungof
Milford, and Jane Chung (m. James
Mahoney) of MD. She was the loving
sister of Dorothy Dear of Dedham, Nel-
lie Chin of VA, Rae Hong of CT, and the
late Donald Wong of NY. She was the
proud grandmother of Rachel and
Alicia Cassidy, Colleen and Amy Chung,
and Erin and Daniel Mahoney.
