Highlighting the work of artists and
photographers from the Majority World

Just an average day in São Caetano de Odivelas, Pará, Brazil. A young costume-clad Power Ranger perches on the windowsill of a
strikingly coloured home next to a presumed relative. One can only wonder what’s caught their attention... The strikingly bold contrast
of such bright colours was photographed by journalist and photography professor Bruno Carachesti, who teaches at the University of
Amazonia (Unama). Since 2008, his work has focused on documenting everyday life in the urban-Amazon environs of Belém, the capital
of Pará state. He calls this particular photo ‘Observation in blue and red’. More of his work can be found here: instagram.com/carachesti
