ninth cycle, and during the season

Byspalko welcomed a stylish set to
the Roundhouse Community Centre

Chaired by Vikram Vij, the celebrity
chef invited contemporaries to respond
to the festival’s theme of “Tricksters,
Magicians and Oracles” for the yearly
food and drink extravaganza that
launched the 11-day UBC and SFU
sponsored celebration of arts, music
and ideas.

Nadia Iadisernia and Craig Stowe once
again fronted the annual Pacific Polo
Club charity tournament. Hundreds in
their sartorial best made their way to
Southlands Riding Club in the heart
of the city’s equestrian community to
take in the sixth edition. The couple
welcomed a glamorous crowd for a
day of polo watching, champagne
sipping and brunching. Holders of
VIP Cabana tickets were treated to
a gourmet luncheon prepared by
David Hawksworth. As always, guests
took to the grass at intermission for
the traditional divot stomp, but the

main attraction was the thrilling polo
action. Proceeds from the day of
riding benefitted the Southlands Riding
Society and BC Children’s Hospital.
