Guided by a Southern fondness for year-round outdoor living, designer Tish Mills Kirk
treated the home’s porch as an extension of the adjacent kitchen by furnishing it with
both indoor and outdoor pieces to create an alfresco keeping room. Outdoor-friendly
furniture sourced from Kolo Collection, including Royal Botania’s Zenhit teak sofa and
chairs and a set of jade-colored Cirql chairs by Dedon, are joined by accessories tradi-
tionally found indoors, such as a T.D. Frake fl oor lamp and Mulligan’s two-tier Prairie
chandelier from Holland MacRae and Moattar, Ltd.’s overdyed rug, whose emerald
tones echo the surrounding trees. Redefi ning the notion of a screened porch, thanks to
a series of motorized, retractable screens, Mills Kirk opted to punctuate the space with
Style Library sheers from Grizzel & Mann, which act like walls without blocking views
or natural light. The space’s crowning touch is a Brown Jordan fi repit, meant to encour-
