BREEZY, BLUE HAVEN
MASTER BEDROOM | HUFF-DEWBERRY, INC.
Coining their master bedroom scheme “Montecito meets English Manor House,” de-
signers Will Huff and Heather Dewberry married relaxed, California-style living with
classic English style. Anglo accents include wheel-back chairs, a George III serpentine
server and a bed canopy that is reminiscent of English country house bedrooms but
made fresh by its tailored valance and fabric: “Ellsworth,” a custom-designed damask
print from Peter Fasano, whose blue-and-white fabrics and striped wallpaper appear
throughout the room. Echoing the room’s breezy color palette is the blue-and-white
French Aptware, sourced from Heather Cook Antiques and displayed on one wall,
while natural elements, such as rattan window shades and a bamboo bed, evoke a
California feel according to the designers, who found additional inspiration closer to
home. Intrigued by the property’s history as a hunting camp, the duo sought to bolster
the room’s connection to the outdoors by adding landscape paintings and an antique
wooden stag head to the room. —Jennifer Boles
