37 yearshavecreatedmanygardensonthevariousfarmswehaverun.I’vealso
experimentedquiteextensivelywithwhatgrowsbestin ourlocalclimate,”shesays.
JeanandherhusbandJohnmovedto thisfarmnearImpendle 12 yearsagoafter
hewasappointedasmanager.Thegardenwasdevelopedin the1960sbythe
currentowner’smother,MaureenRowles,whodidallthegroundworkof removingthe
veldgrassandplantingthetrees.However,theownerslatermovedto Englandand
thegardenbecamea bitovergrown.WhentheCampbellsmovedin,Jean
immediatelytookonthetaskof givingthebeautifuloldgardena newleaseonlife.
