Red Chair based on Cathy’s design. “The dark colour was achieved
by ‘burning’ the wood with a blowtorch (an old Japanese method for
preserving wood) to echo the cabin’s outdoor cladding, which was
given the same treatment,” Cathy says. The hanging shelves were
made and installed by Swissline Design. “I wanted a light approach to
storage. This also allows you to see everything you need at a glance –
which is ideal for Airbnb guests.”eco home
