probably haveto store in the garage).
Once crea ted, the resultant bed is a
slightly odd shape, nearly double the
width on the offside comparedwith
the nearside and with the ladder to
the lutonnow rendered outof action.
The bed’s size/shape will dictate that
the sixth bert h is for asmall child.
Note there areno Isofix for child seats,
though, not even as an option.

LIVING THE DREAM
We expect that most Edges will
haveboth the Drivers and Li ving
Packs fitted, with the latter adding a
microwave to a galley that is already
one of the 476model’ s best features.
The ThetfordTriplex cooker is an

old favourite because it includes three

gas ringsand anoven/grill wi thout

taking up too muchspace. There’s

also a decent amountof worktop

here, especially with the flap by the

doordeployed, andstorage in cludes

plate and cupracks as well as a

couple of drawers. The fri dge ca pacity

is modest, at 85 lit res, butyou can

increasecooling space by removing

the fr eeze r section.

Opposite the galley is the

washro om, with a simple all-in-one

design that will be fam ilia r to owners

of some Escapemodels.

There’s a white pl astic corner

basin with a small moulded cupboard

underneath and an open shelf high

above the looproviding the storage.

The basin’s tap doubles as the

showerhead (with a trigger release)

and you’ll need to pull a curtain

around to cover the toilet and do or,

leaving it close enough to you that you

may find it sticks to you.

The swi vel ca ssette loo is mounted

on a plinth, so long legs arerequired

for comfortable sitting. A toilet roll

holder and towel ri ng are fitted and

covering uptheir fixings on the

outside washro om wall are stick-on

pads that look out of keeping. Asmall

roof vent caters forventilation.

EXTRAS, AS STANDARD

With Swift’s SMART construction and

a hail-resistant GRP roof, there is no

wood in the bodywork of the Edge

and its maker is confident enough to

back-up the bu ild with a 10-year water

ingress warranty.

For security, it comes as standard

with a Ca tegory S7 tracker and the
