no plans to take it on the track himself.
He reconditioned it for the road as soonas he got hold of it. He did the points, put
in a new water pump, took out the carbs,
stripped them and rebuilt them. He did a
fair amount of work over just four days.
Luckily, there is a workshop next door to
the film studio, so he could nip in
between takes and have a bit of a fiddle.

Frank and Jake’s Garage in Berkhamsted- who fell in love with it, so he’d say to me,
“I’ll keep going with the brakes, you do
that bit of filming and I’ll be ready for you
when you come back.” I’ve called the car
Frankie after him.”
