U
nsurprisingly, this is not
Trevor’s first turn about
on the custom merry-go-
round and if there was such
a thing, then the gentleman
would be too dizzy to ever stand
up again! He’s been riding and
building bikes for an impressive
forty-two years—ever since he
was just sixteen, in fact. Some of
those builds have appeared in a
variety of magazines—Superbike,
Streetfighters, AWoL—and they
were all based on the mighty
Honda CBX6. But this is clearly
not one of Honda’s legendary six
cylinder beasts, as Trevor explains.
“I thought I would have a go at
something different. This is the
first Harley-Davidson that I’ve
ever touched, let alone owned.
So I basically bought a frame, an
engine and a couple of bits and
took it from there. I bought the
engine from a chap in Kings Lynn
who assured me it was from a
running bike and “Good to go”.
That was an utter lie! The motor
required a lot of work and far
more new parts than I’d expected,
but the good part is that it now not
only runs but sounds like a beast.
